During our outing we visited some interesting places. We had planned to visit an antique auction that only happens on Sunday’s, but as I mentioned, it did not stop raining all morning, and we were not sure if they would setup in the afternoon, so we gave it up.
Instead to walked to several squares and saw a very lot of old beautiful buildings and churches and government buildings. As I said, we really enjoyed our time in BA.
Behind us is the Casa Rosado, the Pink House. Unlike out White House, this is the hall of government. This is also, where the Perons lived and where Eva, or Evita, gave her speech.
This gentleman was at the Casa. He and others gave us a tour. The tour was in Spanish. It was lucky that we were in town on a Sunday, since the weekends are the only time the Casa is open to the public. It seems they sometimes give tours in English, but the guides who speak English are on summer vacation right now. Luckily, one of the Spanish speaking travelers from our ship was on the tour with us and helped us.
Just a little of the beautiful artwork in the Casa.
This is the nice lady to who translated for us. this is also the balcony where Evita gave her speech.
