Today we rented a taxi with 4 other people and headed out to see what there was to see. Again we had to see everything through smog. We were told there was extra smog because 3 days ago it rained. We after living in LA, that did not make any sense to me.
The area between the port and Old Goa is very tropical.
OK, today less words, just look at the pictures. India has many Hindus so notice the cows.
There are also churches amongst the temples since the British were here.
In the town of Panjim, where the temple above is, we saw a construction site. Even though they are using power tools, as you can see, they use old fashion earth moving methods. Notice there are women carrying dirt.
It cost us money for this next picture. They are the women in the picture above.
This is a ferry loading. I’m pretty sure it was not designed for that many passengers. Even in this rush, the ladies look good.
Notice the paddlewheel in the above picture. It is a casino afloat. Panjim is quite a resort area.
This our taxi, with air conditioning since it was over 90 and so was the humidity. This is when the ladies asked for pay for us taking their picture.
Would you like to take a trip in this canoe?
One of these days we will be travelling in a tuk-tuk maybe like this one.

Is India as poor as they say? Even now, the cardboard houses are where they live? Any running water or electricity?
