3 28 HONG KONG, CHINA

Last night, Arleen got a wonderful gift from some of the performers that were here to entertain us.  The doo-op group, Class Reunion, had performed a couple of days ago.  They were fun.  Doing 1960’s doo-op.  Arleen had met one of the performers, Bernard, at breakfast one day.  Anyway, Bernard eventually asked Arleen if she would like to sing with them when they performed again.   Well…….So, last night she sang “Will you still love me tomorrow” on stage with the Class Reunion.  She had a great time and the audience seemed to like it, too.

Actually, we spent 2 days in Hong Kong, March 28th and 29th.  Neither of us did much away from the ship and the shopping center attached to the port.  There are actually at least 4 shopping centers connected to each other and the port.  There are very high end shops there.

Hong Kong is a huge city.  It just keeps growing.  When we were here 2 years ago, we visited a fishing village.  I bought a string of pearls and left my prescription glasses on the counter.  So, that string of pearls cost me over $140 for $6 worth of pearls.

This time we did not go on any excursions.  Arleen spent the first and most of the second day trying to figure out what is going on with this computer.  Duane got the chance to go ashore and see a view of the city from the top of Victoria Peak.d hong kong (8) (1024x768) d hong kong (3) (1024x768) d hong kong (5) (1024x768)

Every evening the city puts on a light show.  Here is a little bit of it.  You can not capture it on film.  The buildings light up and shoot off lasers.
