4 8 continued CHEJU

I have to make multiple blogs sometimes, due to the amount of pictures.  If I try to load too many into one blog, I crash.

We saw women free divers.  They dive, without scuba and collect mollusks, urchins and whatever other food they can find.  And these women are not youngsters or athletically built.

Here we are, touching a carved replica of one of the hurbangs, they were found all over the island, and are thought to bring good luck and protection.

This little one was walking all the way up to the top of the biggest volcano we visited.  She was doing just fine until she saw Duane.  He said hello and she froze.  She stood still and stared, with her mouth open, unmoving, until her mother picked her up.  It was so cute.

These are pictures of the lava tube we walked through.

I think we figured out what this means……unlike our don’t walk signs that mean no one should cross, this sign means “no body builders should cross”.

Because volcanic rock is easy to carve, there are rock gardens with carved rock.  Sadly, they were closed.  These were the only ones we saw.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back and spend more time.
