Yesterday we docked in Fort Lauderdale and the passengers who were only on board for the holiday cruise disembarked. Only 30 of us stayed.
Duane and I had to disembark, as did the other passengers, in order to go through customs. No issue there at all. We had planned to meet with our cousin and have some family time, but he had a problem and was unable to meet. So we re-boarded the ship.
While waiting to re-board we met some of the new passengers. It may be our imagination, but the people boarding now are friendlier. It might be because everyone is on for at least 30 days, and some up to 114 days (like us)
Last night we got a preview of the activities that will be taking place from now on. The last 2 weeks did not have all that much that we wanted to participate in. We did a lot of reading and dancing. These next weeks will be filled with tons of stuff we are interested in. For example: bridge lessons, bridge sessions, water color painting class, dance classes, arts and crafts and lectures. We are not sure what things we will do, and whether we can fit everything in. Actually we know we cannot.
So we are very excited about the coming days. Tomorrow is a sea day, then we will be in Lemon, Costa Rica.
