PUERTO LEMON, COSTA RICA

Jan 9

It has been a while since we were able to post.  So, some catching up is in order.  Since we left Fort Lauderdale we sailed back toward the Panama Canal.  We stopped on the 9th in Lemon.  That is not the fruit, but there is a mark over the o.  Anyway, here are some pictures of the area around the port.  Remember, in most towns and cities, the area around the port is not the best representation of the city.

There was this little street totally full of artists works.

A nice little park right outside the port.  Reminds you that you are in a tropical area.  Very warm and muggy.  Just what you would expect.

Here is where Christopher Columbus landed, on the island, in 1502.

We are sure the rest of Costa Rica is much nicer than the tourista areas we have seen here in Lemon.  We had a nice walk on land and returned to the ship.  So we continue on.
